Frequently Asked Questions

  • The question on everyone’s mind. Our letterpress invitation suites, including design, typically range from $800-2500. However, factors such as paper, quantity, print method, and customizations (ribbons, bellybands, assembly, etc) all affect the price. We are always happy to chat about how to get you a beautiful suite that fits your budget!

  • Each job is unique and custom, so I prefer to quote by job. The price is dependent on the size, paper stock, and quantity. For the smoothest process, please fill out our contact form to request a quote.

  • We do! We specialize in invitation design, business cards, and other stationery needs. We’d love to help design your project. With a Bachelors in Graphic Design and 10+ years experience, you’ll be in good hands.

  • The typical turnaround for design and letterpress printing is 4-5 weeks.

For just letterpress printing, the turnaround is 12 business days. A lot of factors can affect this, but we will always keep you informed if there’s an unexpected hiccup.

If you’re on a tight schedule, please let us know your desired turnaround time when you request your letterpress printing or design project.

  • Of course! Whether you need digital or letterpress printing, we don’t require that we create the artwork. We work with multiple design studios that use us as their printer.

Print-ready files are required, meaning a vector file with all fonts and strokes outlined. If you have non-vector files, there may be an additional set-up fee.

  • All sorts of things! Letterpress wedding invitations and save the dates are very popular, as well as business cards, greeting cards and holiday cards. But posters, art prints, coasters, gift tags, and product tags can also be letterpress printed.

  • We hand-mix our ink colors, and can create any Pantone Uncoated color that you want, at no additional cost.

  • We don’t currently have foil or embossing capabilities, but that doesn’t mean we can’t help! With connections to shops that do offer those options, we’re always happy to provide referrals and recommendations.

  • We accept Adobe Illustrator, Illustrator PDFs, Adobe InDesign and Affinity Designer files. All strokes should be outlined, and all fonts must be converted to outlines or packaged with your files. Every color should be on its own layer. If you have questions, feel free to reach out.

  • Nope! I can do as few items as you need.

  • Of course! We’re always happy to provide samples of our work so you can see the texture and quality first-hand. To request samples, just fill out our contact form and be sure to provide your shipping address.

  • We’d love to show you around our little letterpress studio, and are open to visitors by appointment only. Send us an email and we’ll see what we can do!

  • As a small 2-person shop, we unfortunately don’t have the ability to take anyone on currently.

Our Process

Step 1: Let’s chat!

To get started, reach out via email or our contact form. Tell us all about your wedding, your inspirations, your ideas. If you have one, sending your Pinterest board is great for this step.

Providing an idea of what items you need (invitations, rsvp, envelopes, etc) and a quantity will help us get an estimate put together.

Step 2: Let’s meet!

If the estimate looks good, we’ll move forward with either an in-person meeting or a ~30 minute Discovery Call. If we opt for a video chat, I’ll send samples ahead of time so you can see our work first-hand.

During this meeting, we’ll chat about design preferences, paper options, colors, typography, print methods, etc.

Step 3: Design

Our design process includes 3 initial design options for the invitation. The first round of proofs is typically sent within 5-7 business days. From there, we’ll go back-and-forth with feedback and refine the design until your suite is perfect.

Once the design has your final approval, we’ll order printing plates and paper, and get your order into production.

This step typically takes 2—3 weeks.

Step 4: Production

After approval, your order will begin production. All our letterpress printing is done in-house on our Vandercook Universal I. Digital printing is done on our Canon Pixma 200.

Printing turnaround is 12 business days. Additional finishes like die-cutting and assembly can add 3-5 business days.

Step 5: Completion

If you’re local, we’ll arrange delivery or pick-up with you. For shipping, we have an account with Pirate Ship, so no matter where you’re located, we can provide great shipping rates.

Step 6: Day-of Items

We love helping out with day-of materials. Whether you only need design services, or are looking for sourcing as well, we’ve got you. Just a few things we can help with are: place cards, signage, menus, table numbers, and programs.
